An album like this can easily be lost in a catalog of the greatest American musician of our times, with enough songs that could fill several albums worth of greatest hits collections, its no wonder that the baby faced self-titled "Folk" debut is frequently skipped over. Sure, Folk music as a genre hasn't held up as well as Dylan himself, heck the man went electric and never looked back. That being said, this isn't Folk, this is Dylan... the man rips, I mean rips the hell out of songs like "In My Time of Dyin", "Fixin to Die", "Highway 51", "House of the Risin Sun" and the goose bump raisin "See That My Grave is Kept Clean". Keep in mind this is Dylans voice, his acoustic guitar and the occasional harmonic; nothing else. The bareness of the production only increases the intensity of this whole recording. This is mind blowing stuff, a testament that Robert Zimmerman was a phenomenon from the moment he allowed us to listen.
This is my first Sundazed record, all my other Dylan records are original Columbia mono pressings, that being said I'm extremely happy with the sound and the remastering that they created with their new pressings. I look forward to buying many more new pressings from Sundazed and hope that all their records are this great.

Wonderful early recording of Bob Dylan at his best. All tracks are sublime and give a look into life and issues of the 60's for people who were either not there or were and want to remember the passion.
